Digital version of Sharetime, TATOC's in-house magazine, to be re-launched this month
TATOC is delighted to announce that its Sharetime magazine will be re-launched in digital format from September 2010. As it will no longer be printed, the quarterly magazine now has its own dedicated website, www.sharetimemagazine.com. This website will be kept up to date with the latest timeshare industry, general holiday and travel news of interest to today's timeshare owners and committee members.
You will be able to view each issue of Sharetime directly from the new website using the latest page-flip technology. To give you an indication of what we mean, we have made the last three issues available on-line for you to view at www.sharetimemagazine.com. Just click the magazine icon on the top right of the page.
Sharetime magazine will be published quarterly and available on-line for all timeshare owners, committees and affiliates to read.
But we need your help to make Sharetime a real timeshare owner’s magazine.
How can you help?

Web Links – we hope you will place links directly from your website to both the TATOC and the Sharetime magazine websites. Simply contact emily@sharetimemagazine.com or call her on 01604 861364 and we will send you all the necessary information.

Newsletters – tell your owners about Sharetime in all your communications so they know that Sharetime is their magazine and that the site is full of information they will find of interest.

AGM – why not mention Sharetime at your AGM? Word of mouth is the best form of promotion.

Keep giving us your news – the upcoming magazine has lots of news from our resorts but we cannot feature all the good things you are doing if you don’t tell us. So share what you are doing with others by sending your news to emily@sharetimemagazine.com

Consumer Alert - Equity Secure
TATOC has been made aware that timeshare owners are making complaints they are receiving unsolicited calls from Equity Secure, a company operating using a website but does not appear to have a UK office. The firm purports to secure “equity release from your timeshare commitments” and owners are informed the law is to change in January next year, which will result in a doubling of their maintenance fees. |

Holiday Club Cashback Scam - WARNING |

If you have a cashback certificate, don't fall victim to scam that has recently come to our attention.
We've been told that members of the public who purchased a holiday club membership that included a cashback offer are now receiving calls from a separate company to inform them that their cashback certificate has not been correctly registered. As a result, they are invited overseas - usually Spain or the Canaries - to find ways around the problem and this is where, at their most vulnerable, people tend to be pressured into making decisions they later regret. |

TATOC has announced the launch of a new Code of Practice specifically for timeshare re-sale companies. The new Code has been established to provide maximum consumer protection while providing a fair and equal opportunity for re-sale companies operating within the Code’s guidelines.
Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket and Travel and Leisure Group, two of the UK’s largest timeshare re-sale organisations have already signed up to the Code. |
